New Birthday

Noah has been talking with our neighborhood guard for a while now about Jesus.  Something about the name Noah that automatically brings the conversation to the Bible.  For about the last week or so Noah has been feeling like he needed to flat out ask Lilto  if he wanted to know Jesus.  Today he did.  And Lilito said no.  And Lilito said yes, I know you have peace in your heart and I don't, but I don't want to know Jesus.  Pray for him.

Noah came home after his run (that's a whole other story for another day) and told us what Lilito said.  Forrest was very concerned and confused as to why someone would say they didn't want to know Jesus.  Smart kid.

Today was very different for us routine wise.  With Noah and Elliot at home because Elliot is still sick (again, another story for another day) Forrest and I took a taxi to school.  This gave us time to talk.  And as we were just coming up the hill to school, Forrest looked at me and said, "I want to believe on Jesus!"  Well!  It think his little brain was working all morning on this question of knowing Jesus and why someone wouldn't want that.

I asked him what that meant and he knew it all, that Jesus died for his sins, that Jesus was God's son and that Forrest wanted him to be the boss of his life.  I asked if he wanted to pray then, and he looked at me and said, "No, tomorrow."  Ok.  I wasn't going to push it.

I told Noah about it when we got home and Noah asked Forrest, who was like, "Yeah!  I want to do that, tomorrow."  Noah then shared with him how the Bible talks about not putting off until tomorrow what you can do today.  As soon as he said that, Forrest looked at him and said, "let's pray now!"  And he did, with all of us there!  How cool!!!!

We know that this is the first step in a lifetime of following Jesus.  And we are thrilled!  Can't wait to see what God does with Forrest!

Welcome to the family dude!  It's quite a ride!
