Apples, Apples, and More Apples

On our way home from Traverse City Sunday, we stopped and got apples.  You know, real apples, not the ones that have been in cold storage for 9 months, that when you bite into the sorta taste like the cooler they were in.  Nope, these are real apples!

And we have been enjoying them.  I think yesterday we just ate apples and banana bread.  Maybe a glass of milk here and there, but mostly apples.  The boys would finish one and immediately start asking for another.  And there was a point where I cut them off...because I didn't want to deal with the...um...fall out?

They thought this was so very funny!  And after a bit, Forrest looked at Elliot and said, "It's because we are beavers."  Oh my!  Where did he come from?

It was also the perfect night for a fire and the boys did fantastic with it.  Not once did they try and touch it, which is a far cry from last summer!

All in all, apples and a campfire, a pretty good day!

  5. I love the day-to-day what you guys are doing posts. It makes me feel like I was there. I so wish we could have a campfire...daddy is working evening, so I don't think it is going to happen. Maybe on his next night off...
