Our Tour

In a week, we are on the road again!  I think I need to get used to this part of missionary life.  Being a gypsy.  Maybe we need to look into a motor home!  Or a tour bus like bands have.  Yes, because then we could drive it to Honduras...right.  Oh, you can drive from Michigan to Honduras, see?

But I don't think I want to try.

This time, we are heading to West Michigan.  We will be bunking down at my parents' house because they seem to be about an hour from everywhere we need to be.  Weird.

So, the packing begins again.  I am thankful my mom keeps so much of the "stuff" we need for the boys.  I don't have to worry about cribs, bibs, silverware, toys, food, fans, or potty chairs.  Although that seems to be on hold for right now.  Forrest told me yesterday that he wanted to put the potty chair away and wear diapers.  Ok.

We have a FULL ten days.  We are meeting with 4 churches, 4 large groups, and 8 families.  Some of these meetings are formal presentation type events and some are informal letsgettoknowyou sort of things.  Others are current supporters that we want to catch up with and hear how life has been for them.

We really excited to start sharing about Honduras and what God is doing through the Latin American Church at Manantial de Vida.

Pray for us please.  We still have a lot of work to do in order to be able to share effectively, and I am not sure where that time is going to come from!  Pray for our boys, that they would have relatively little stress and disruption to the normal routine.  Pray also that we would have new people join our team to be a part of what God is doing in Honduras.  And pray that God would use this 10 days for His purpose.

  2. No, it's in Caledonia, it's our sending/home church. It's also the church we were married in.

  3. Good luck with your trip, we're also bunking down at my parents house (in Hastings) next week while James travels on business.
Sounds like you already have quite the trip booked, but if you have a spare hour somewhere, I'd love to hear more about the ministry you will be serving in. We've been praying how God wants us to partner with you guys, so it would be great to hear a bit more about your vision, etc. in person. :)
Let me know...just email if something might work out and we'll go from there.

  5. If you were able to stay longer, I would suggest speaking to our church.
