Wednesday Discoveries

Here are a few interesting things I have discovered today:

  • Gmail will not let you send out more than 500 emails at one time.  This is a problem for me.  We have a large email list of people that I assume want to get our newsletter.  It caused me no end of grief this afternoon.  Any suggestions on how to get around this?
  • We are seriously suppose to get snow tonight and tomorrow.  I can't begin to tell you how depressing that is.
  • Sometimes, all a kid needs to take a nap is a drink of juice.
  • I am not very quick with some of the lessons that God is trying to teach me.  And by not very quick, I mean it's taken me years to catch on.  I used to think the Hebrews wandering around in the wilderness were stupid for not remember the things God had taught them.  Yeah, well...
  • Elliot likes punching balloons.  A good $1.50 spend on the pack.

P.S. There's a new newsletter and prayer page at the top of the site.  Check them out!

    1. The cap is 500 unique email addresses per 24 hours on gmail. I'm pretty sure there isn't a way around it, other than sending it out over the course of a few days.

    2. it's weird, because I was able to email single addresses afterward, just not another mass email...blahhh

    3. Liz,

What you may want to look into is creating another gmail address and then linking the two. For example, I have

      robrob1203@gmail.com
      and
      robert.l.mcadams@gmail.com

but they are linked so that anything that goes to one gets forwarded to the other.

Additionally, I can choose with one click which inbox I am sending from. For example, I have it set that anything that I send from robrob1203 actually gets sent via robert.l.mcadams...

      Confused yet?

I'm not sure if that would end up working out for you or not, but it could double your capacity if you can figure out the idiosyncrasies involved.

    5. Elizabeth made the tortillas last night for tacos. They turned out great! I haven't tried the recipe myself just yet...someday when she stops spoiling me I will though.
