Cantamos Por la Gloria de Tu Majestad

I like to listen to songs over and over and over and over again.  Drives my husband nuts!  But I am finding it is helping my Spanish.  I found this one the other day, don't bother to actually watch the video, just listen to it.

You probably recognize the tune, and while the lyrics are great in English, but there are a few lines I like so much better in Spanish.  One in particular, from the chores, literally says Jesus beat death.  Hallelujah!

I am always blown away when singing a song I know well in my language in another.  Boy, God is so much bigger than my little corner of the universe!  That's easy to forget, in the midst of the everyday, but right now, people all over the globe are talking with and praising Him in their languages.  He is concerned about their comings and goings, and loves them desperately.  He is working out His plan all over the planet and I am just one tiny, tiny piece of all that.  And He loves me.  Wow!

  3. Oh how glorious heaven would be in Spanish. So beautiful with rolling r's. Have I told you how jealous I am (in a godly way) that you're moving to Honduras? I've been trying to talk Matt into moving to a Spanish speaking country for years. Hmph!

And we sang this son in Costa Rica and it still makes me tear up just thinking of the words. So descriptive and more beautiful than anything we could say in English!

  4. Hi! It is so funny to reconnect through Jenney's blog. She and I were good friends in high school. We are living in TN and doing well. We have a 5 yr old boy and 13 month old girl. How old are your kids? It looks like you guys are doing well and from Jenney's blog I saw that you are about to take on some new adventures. How exciting! We will be praying! Glad to find your blog to keep up with you guys! I will check back often! I don't keep up with my own blog very well, but I am good at keeping up with others, haha.
