Pondering and Fairies

So much to think about this week.

Monday we met with Wes and Cindy (Hi guys!) and spend hours talking about Honduras, Manantial de Vida (the camp) and where we might fit in there. It was a great day, the kids played well, and we went away with much to ponder and pray about. Noah flies out to Honduras in a little more than a week. So that's where we are with that.

In other news, the Bed Fairy has not come to our house. I think she might be a sister of the Tooth Fairy, or perhaps a distant cousin. Either way, she doesn't like to visit. See, I really don't like our bed, our sheets, our comforter. Every morning I wake up thinking this might be the day that the Bed Fairy comes. She will bring with her a fluffy, warm, heavybutnottooheavy comforter, fluffy supportive pillows, wonderfully warm, yummy, buttery sheets, and a fantastic mattress. Everything will be perfectly coordinated, just the right mix of airiness, wispyiness, warm snuggliness, and not too girly. Well, the chica has not come.

So I am contemplating how I can pretend to be her, without her magical powers and limitless cash. That probably means I am confided to the bedding. I did find this in the Ikea catalog for $20.

I haven't decided if it's too, ummm, something yet, but the price is right. It might make it feel like the Bed Fairy has visited. I am going to check it out when I am there next week.

While the Bed Fairy hasn't come, the Mixer Fairy has! My parents bought me a used mixer for Christmas and I was able to bring it home this weekend. I think I have used it every day this week, much to Noah's enjoyment. Just look at it mix that bread dough!

Well, Noah is in camp tonight until 10, so I think I am going to find some snuggly jammies, grab something hot to drink and enjoy the quiet.

Good night all.

  2. I think Elliot and Jackson have the SAME winter coat! (this comment is referring to the pumpkin patch photos) Where did you get it? Ours was James' when he was little and we got it at Elder Beerman's on clearance for $9. I love that coat!

  3. Sometimes the bed fairy leaves things for us at Marshall's or Target on sale.
I tend not to get sheets with little flowers, even though my hubbie says his manhood is unaffected by such.

Thanks for visiting our blog! Come again!

  4. Jen, when I find the Organizational fairy who comes with all the containers I will let you know!

Jenney, Elliot's coat was a gift when Forrest was a baby, so I am not sure where it came from, but I love it! So snuggly with the fleece inside!

And Leila, thanks for stopping by! Yes, Target and Marshall's! Unfortunately the closest Target is 2 hours away and I am not sure where the nearest Marshall's is. We really live in the middle of the northern woods. I will be sure to come by again...and now I need to investigate this vinegar making business!
