Amidst the screaming, whining, dirty diapers and sleepless nights, the mounds of laundry and dishes, and grogginess, I caught a glimpse of the beauty of it all. God has given me these two boys to raise, sharpen, and prepare to be men...
Men who love their God, their families. Men who are compassionate and brave. Men who serve and care, men who are uniquely gifted by God to do what He has planned for them.
Yeah, got all that from this view of my front yard. And I was reminded that right now these compassionate, brave, loving men-in-training need a mama who changes their diapers, cooks them healthy food, and teaches them how to sleep and to not hit their brother.
Oh Lord, make me equal to the task you have set before me.

wow.. we were on the same wavelength.. sometimes i'm overwhelmed with that thought... but I know that God has a plan for us, and for him as he grows into the man God wants him to be...
