The New House

Well.  It's been a week. And we're still trying to process through it all in our minds, but we're getting settled into our new home for the next 5 months or so, getting things situated.

Really there wasn't a whole lot to situate here at the house.  We have been blessed with a fully furnished missions house for our time Stateside and wow, does that make moving easier!  There was just a few things we got into our storage trailer for and really, we didn't even need those, it's more just we wanted to have them.

And now, because I know you all want to see, here are some pictures of the new place.

Fully equipped kitchen.  With a dishwasher.  Can I just tell you we both are in love with it?  I had forgotten what a wonderful thing it is!  And to think I used to complain about unloading before!  Ha!

Dinning room right off the kitchen.

View of the living room from the dinning room.  Yes, the boys are somewhere in that fort.  It's rainy and cold today, but goodness, with a living room like this, you can survive just fine, even with two preschool boys!

Another view of the living room...this time from the fort area.

Here's the office off of the living room and the kitchen.  Basically, the whole downstairs is circular, which, as you can imagine, is quite fun when you are 3 and 5.

This is my little cubbie.  It's just past the office and just before the kitchen (you know, in the circle set up)  It's great!

Now up the stairs.  There seems to be more than the standard amount of them.

At the very top there is a PLAY ROOM!!  It also has two beds in it, but that isn't where the boys sleep.

Right next to the play room is our bedroom.

Across from our room is this little nook area.  I think this is where baby will end up because then he'll be close.  I am planning on using the dresser as a changing table.

The boys room is at the very end of the hall.  And right next to it is ANOTHER bedroom!  This will be great for grandparents when they come to visit after baby comes.

There is also a bathroom and a half.  The full one is upstairs and the half down.  But I didn't think you really needed to see photos of American bathrooms.  Nothing too exciting or unusual.  Although we are all thrown by the fact there are trash cans but we don't need to throw our toilet paper way in them.  So strange what you get used to.

We are overwhelmed by this amazing place!  We're really thankful for it!

  1. What a blessing. My girls loved the circle in this house and I wasn't even gone long and I had trouble putting the toilet paper in the toilet. Welcome back to Michigan.
